THE NEW ALBUM
a SANTA FE SOUND production
These songs were born from the interstates, the small towns, the faces and the experiences that filled my days traveling the beautiful American Southwest. While many of the songs are California-inspired, my influences were also derived and collected from my travels through the diverse landscapes and cultures of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Nevada.
As the weeks and months flew by, like the blurred miles of blacktop disappearing into my rearview, my poetry and writings began to shape themselves into song lyrics that really resonated with me. I endeavoured to arrange and lay down the guitar chords, the vocal melodies, the piano lines and the drums. They were the kinds of songs I would have loved to have heard emanating from a vintage AM radio, driving down a lonely desert highway at 3 a.m.
And so, after building and equipping a modest home studio, Santa Fe Sound, I finally kicked the dust off my boots to cut this close-to-my-heart darling of a record, named Santa Cruz.
These are the songs...

Get in the car and drive, past city limit signs and county lines toward a desert highway redemption.
I’m stick-shifting gears through these dark, twisting backroads. I can hear that west coast surf crashing in the night.
It's about Sunday morning, Arizona sky. It's her worn photograph tied to my visor and kindness in her eyes in the soft glow of a sinking Santa Cruz sun.
These songs relate their stories with warm acoustic guitars, dirty Mex-electric leads, melodic keys and spare, vintage drums.
This is just vintage Rock Americana sound, sweetly custom-built in the spirit of the wide open road.
Thank you for sharing in the journey...
